Drywall nails, also known as wallboard nails. It is used for the connection between gypsum board and wood keel and between gypsum board and light steel keel.
Generally, black phosphating is more common in the market. There are also blue and white ones, namely blue zinc. There may not be much blue zinc in China.
More than 80% of the demand for drywall nails is concentrated in the specification of 3.5x25. Because it is mainly used for gypsum board, and the thickness of gypsum board is the same.
Purchasing standard of drywall nails:
1. The head should be round (which is also the common standard of all round head screws). Because of the production process, the head of dry wall nails produced by many manufacturers may not be very round, and some may even be slightly square. The problem is that it can not completely match the gypsum board after screwing in. Concentric circles rotate around a central point, which should be well understood.
2. The tip should be sharp, especially when you use it on the light steel keel. The sharp angle of the dry wall nail is generally required to be between 22 ~ 26 degrees, and the sharp angle of the head is required to be full without wire dragging and cracking. This "tip" is the most important for the drywall nail, because the drywall nail is directly screwed in without prefabricated holes, so the tip also undertakes the function of drilling through. Especially when it is used on the light steel keel, the bad tip will lead to failure to drill in, which will directly affect the use. According to the national standard, the wall panel nails should be able to drill through 6mm iron plate in 1 second.
3. No eccentricity. The simplest way to judge whether the drywall nail is eccentric is to put the round head down on the table to see whether the threaded part is vertical and in the middle of the head. If the screw is eccentric, the problem is that the electric tool will shake when screwed in, wobble. The shorter screw is OK. If the longer screw encounters this situation, it will be in great trouble.
